Well....the day has come! Happy Thanksgiving!
Over the years I have come to love this holiday more than most...including Christmas. Granted, its a close race, but Thanksgiving is All-American! I have obviously always known this, but it is so much more evident now than before! To try and explain the ridiculous amount of food, tv and relaxing that is consumed in ONE day by Americans to my Japanese friends is a hoot to say the least! I tried to explain some of the foods today at school and their eyes about bugged out of their head. It brought me so much joy and pride, and then it hit me...we are pigs! ha ha No, seriously since I have moved over here that is very apparent in all of its glory! HOWEVER, I still love this holiday and miss my family and friends so very much! It really hit me today a bit that I am away from home for the holidays. Obviously, I knew this but things don't always sink in until they are right on you. So, I just wanted to post this saying that I love you guys so very much and miss you all very much! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving wherever you are and whoever you are with! Take advantage of the time that you have! I know that I am going to take advantage of the time that I have here with my American and Japanese brothers and sisters! I will post pictures from our Thanksgiving as soon as I can! I love you all and will talk to you soon!

Hey girl. I was thinking of you today when I was over at Brew's. She's teaching me some new moves for working out. Anyway, she pulled out old photos from college days in the dorms...SCARY. As for your post, I definitely can relate to those feelings of being away during the holidays. But it really does give you a greater appreciation for friends and family and sometimes only distance can teach you that. I hope you continue having a great time over there. I miss you a lot girl!
